This front-end circuit (1) contains a variable matching circuit (121), said variable matching circuit (121) being connected to a diplexer (11), and a switch connector (14) connected between an antenna port (Ant) and the diplexer (11). The variable matching circuit (121) selectively connects one of a number of matching circuits (126, 127) to a signal path. When one matching circuit (126) is connected, the impedance as seen from the switch connector (14) is matched to the impedance of a measuring circuit at a normalized impedance near 1 in a prescribed communication band, and when the other matching circuit (127) is connected, the impedance as seen from the antenna port (Ant) is conjugate-matched to the impedance of an antenna circuit (2) in the prescribed communication band.
