1. A control or display method for a portable timepiece including means of displaying a measured time and at least a first analogue trend indicator, a control interface, and an electronic circuit for the actuation of said analogue trend indicator, wherein the method includes the following steps:
a first step of programming a first predefined time interval; a second step of measuring a second time interval; a third step of displaying said second time interval; a fourth step of displaying a positive or negative difference between said first predefined time interval and said second time interval, with the aid of said first analogue trend indicator.
