Provided is a state monitoring system for exercise devices, that can calculate errors in the exercise device and the causes of malfunctions, by mathematical analysis, simply by measuring vibration of a casing or a monitoring target section, and which does not require a large-scale device. The state monitoring system is configured so as to: substitute vibration of a monitoring target section in the exercise device (1) with vibration of viscoelastic members such as elastic springs; create an equivalence model for the exercise device (1) whereby virtual vibration data for vibration equivalent to the combined vibration of these viscoelastic members, etc., can be output; and calculate errors in the exercise device (1) and the malfunction causes thereof, from mathematical analysis of this equivalence model, simply by measuring vibration in the casing (8) or the monitoring target section. |
