<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side upper structure of a vehicle enabling reduction of a material cost ratio to suppress the manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: The side upper structure includes: a roof side rail 112 passing the upper side of a center pillar from a front pillar along a roof of the vehicle and extending nearly horizontally to the rear of the vehicle; and a reinforcement member 120 attached along the front pillar and the roof side pillar on the vehicle outside of the front pillar and the roof side rail, for reinforcing the front pillar and the roof side rail. The reinforcement member is a member formed from sheet metal and is formed separately into a front reinforcement member 122 attached entirely from the front pillar to an area in the front of the vehicle than the center pillar of the roof side rail; and a rear reinforcement member 124 attached from the front reinforcement member of the roof side rail to an area at the rear of the vehicle than the center pillar. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
