Embodiments of the present invention are for providing a method and apparatus for establishing social relationships between participating users. According to an embodiment of the present invention, in the communication system providing an experiential social (ISC) service, an operation method of a server device comprises: a stage of generating a contact group for social service conversation or more than two participants taking part in a session and information on social relationships of the participants; a stage of informing at least one among the participants of the generated information; and a stage of responding to the fact that a social relationship setting request is received from at least one of the participants and transmitting the social relationship setting request to other participants except for at least one among the participants. The present invention has other embodiments which can be performed in various ways.
