AN APPARATUS TO ASSIST NIGHT DRIVING OF ROAD VEHICLES

The apparatus to assist night driving of road vehicles comprises of a windshield which is coated with selenium, whose photo-conductive property is employed in the invention. A setup is made to calculate the coating's resistance using which the intensity of light of the oncoming vehicle can be calculated, which in turn can also give the speed of the light source. These two factors are processed in the Engine Control Unit and are used to control the operations in the Functional Unit to control the speed of the vehicle accordingly in case of danger.
