<p>[0020] The invention provides an energy meter interface unit for use in a facility to interface with an energy meter. The energy meter interface unit comprises an energy meter interaction section to obtain at least one signal from the energy meter. Then, it includes a microcontroller logic section comprising instructions to process the at least one signal from the energy meter communication section to provide at least one processed signal. Further it comprises a communication section to send the at least one processed signal and receive at least one remote instruction. The energy interface unit of the invention also comprises a load disconnect relay section configured to act on at least one of: the at least one processed signal obtained from the microcontroller logic section, or the at least one remote instruction, or both.</p> |
