PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus configuration and a liquid heating method capable of dispensing with regulation of flow balance at a time of heating a liquid using a plurality of heating elements in a distillation column or the like.SOLUTION: In a distillation column including: a column storing therein a liquid; and a heating system heating the liquid so as to release a target component contained in the liquid from the liquid, the heating system includes a plurality of heat exchangers for heating provided outside the column; a circulation passage connecting the heat exchangers in series so that the liquid in the column circulates while sequentially passing through the heat exchangers; and at least one separation passage provided to be branched off from the circulation passage so as to separate gas generated from the liquid from the liquid in the circulation passage and to return the gas into the column.
