<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize low rigidity and a wide twisting angle without increasing a whole torque converter in size in a lock-up device having a multiple disc-type clutch.SOLUTION: A lock-up device comprises: a clutch section 28; a hub flange 30; and a damper mechanism 29. The clutch section 28 includes: a clutch input member 35; an annular clutch output member 36; first and second clutch discs 37 and 38; and a piston 40. An inner peripheral portion of the clutch output member 36 is coupled to the damper mechanism 29. Outer peripheral portions of the first clutch discs 37 engage with the clutch input member 35, and inner peripheral portions of the second clutch discs 38 engage with an outer peripheral portion of the clutch output member 36. The piston 40 causes the first and second clutch discs 37 and 38 to be pressed to one another.</p> |
