A metallic cloth joint in the form of a woven, braided, knitted, or knotted network, comprising one or more wires or tapes. The cloth is arranged in the form of a cloth tape with thickness << width << length and comprises a metal wire or a metal tape with shape-memory function. The metal wires or metal tapes are oriented essentially in the longitudinal direction of the tape and arranged, after application, by a thermally or mechanically induced transformation, to achieve a deformation such as a contraction of the tape in the longitudinal direction.
