The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition which is used to alleviate acne and includes a turmeric leaf (Curcuma longa) extract. The turmeric leaf extract has an excellent antibacterial activity against the bacteria causing the acne and an anti-inflammatory activity to alleviate or prevent the acne. Accordingly, the composition can also be used to develop a drug for treating the acne.
