PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device of encoding a video by utilizing block merger, and to provide a method and device of decoding the video.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a video encoding method utilizing block merger, of determining an encoding mode indicating a data unit for current picture encoding and an encoding system including prediction encoding to be performed for each data unit, determining whether or not merger with at least one adjacent data unit is performed on the basis of at least one of a prediction mode and the encoding mode, for each data unit, determining prediction mode information, merger associated information, and prediction associated information on the basis of the determination, and determining encoding information of the data unit so as to include the determined information. |
