PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve compression efficiency with a pre-compressed data volume reduced as much as possible when compressing raster data on an image to be printed using a plurality of kinds of inks.SOLUTION: A printer driver 110 of a client terminal 14 is configured to compress gradation data (print data) on original image connected by a line sequence or a face sequence for each color ink on the basis of a maximum gradation of each color ink specified from print setting information and output (transfer) the compressed gradation data (compressed print data) to an ink jet recording device 1 as a print job together with the print setting information. The ink jet recording device 1 is configured to identify the maximum gradation for each color ink from the print setting information during the print job, and identify the pre-compressed data volume of the compressed gradation data during the print job. Then, the printer driver 110 is configured to: delimit post-expanded gradation data every the number of bits corresponding to the identified maximum gradation in accordance with a method (line sequence or face sequence) in which the printer driver 110 connects the gradation data on each color ink; and develope (reproduce) the delimited post-expanded gradation data to the gradation data for each color ink by each pixel. |
