<p>The winding device, for forming double coils for large transformers and inductors with transposed windings, has a flexible band around a tubular mandrel which shapes the coil. The band has radial arms distributed regularly around its circumference and forming contact faces against which the transposed coil rests. The radial arms are formed from metal, right-angled brackets fixed to the band. The coil is held down by a spring-loaded radially-acting clamp mounted on the band at a place normally occupied by an arm. The band moves axially along the mandrel.</p> |
