The present invention relates to a timing controller and a display device using the same. The timing controller includes: an interface receiving circuit in which an error counter for counting errors of received data is embedded; a signal processing unit which aligns the data received through the interface receiving circuit and generates timing control signals; an interface transmitting circuit which transmits the data, aligned by the signal processing unit, to the outside; and an initialization controlling unit which initiates at least one from the interface receiving circuit, the signal processing unit, and the interface receiving circuit when an error count value from the error counter is greater than a predetermined threshold value. |
