[Class 135] [Also in Group X] Fluid-actuated vehicle window-operating mechanism is selectively controlled from a slidable and rotatable spindle 24 carrying fingers 26 which by the manipulation of the knob 28 may register with either valve stem 23 forming one pair of a series arranged around the spindle 24. Pressure or suction applied through the pipe 15 acts on one of the pipes 8, 9 leading to a cylinder 3, the enclosed piston being linked to the window 2 to be operated. The pressure or suction free pipe 8 or 9 is put into atmospheric communication through the valve-seating 19. While the mechanism is not in use, a spring-pressed ball 25 maintains the spindle 24 in neutral position and permits the spring 22 to close both air valves 19.
