The present invention relates to electrode materials, an electrochemical device comprising the same, and a method for manufacturing the same, which are provided to have excellent electrical characteristics and long-term reliability; and to use cokes, which are a by-product generated in a petroleum refining process, as an electrode resource of an electric double layer capacitor (EDLC), and the like. The present invention provides the electrode materials, comprising: activated carbon having specific surface area of 1500 m^2/g or greater, average particle size of 2-20 μm, and tap density of 0.2-0.8 g/cm^3; and carbon materials having specific surface area of 1-20 m^2/g, average particle size of 3-20 μm, and tap density of 0.5-1.5 g/cm^3. The preset invention also provides the method for manufacturing the electrode materials comprising the steps of: making the activated carbon; making the carbon materials; and mixing the activated carbon and the carbon materials which are made, and provides the electrochemical device comprising the electrode materials as an electrode active material. |
