The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for controlling movement of a medical device, comprising the steps of: obtaining location information about at least one object by using an ultra wide band (UWB) based location tracking module; obtaining location information about a medical device by using a sensor included in the medical device; producing a moving route of the medical device based on the location information of the object and the medical device; and controlling movement of the medical device based on the produced moving route.
