<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel position detection system of a railway vehicle capable of detecting a travel position of the own vehicle by only data curve information stored basically in the railway vehicle almost without labor and time for preparing data in advance.SOLUTION: A passing curve information preparation section 40 prepares passing curve information R including an actual measurement value such as an actual measurement curvature radius every time a railway vehicle passes a curve section. A candidate curve information preparation section 50 prepares candidate curve information K which is corresponding to all passable curve sections and includes a data value such as a data curvature radius on the basis of data curve information D. A coincidence rate arithmetic section 60 calculates a partial coincidence rate H by subtracting an absolute value of a value that the data value is divided by a difference of the actual measurement value and the data value from 1 so as to determine a coincidence degree between most recent passing curve information R1 and each candidate curve information K, and multiplies each partial coincidence rate H so as to calculate a single curve coincidence rate I. A curve specification section 70 specifies the curve section most recently passed by comparing each single curve coincidence rate I calculated for every candidate curve information K.</p> |
