PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gesture detection device and a gesture detection program, capable of providing new operability by detecting a gesture and executing various kinds of processing on the basis of the detected gesture.SOLUTION: A smartphone as a gesture detection device includes a movement detection part and a processor. The processor calculates displacement information outputted by the movement detection part to acquire coordinate information inside a space. The processor acquires a direction determination value when shaking out the smartphone in timing when the coordinate information exceeds a threshold value when shaking out the smartphone, and acquires a direction determination value when shaking back the smartphone in timing when the coordinate information is less than a threshold value when shaking back the smartphone. The processor detects a gesture of the gesture detection device by a combination between the direction determination value when shaking out the smartphone and the direction determination value when shaking back the smartphone.
