According to one aspect of the present invention, a train control system is capable of improving availability of a train control system, comprising: a first control system which includes a first automatic train protection (ATP) control unit installed on a train so as to perform a safety control of the train, and a first automatic train operation (ATO) control unit for controlling the operation of the train; and a second control system which includes a second ATP control unit connected in parallel to the first ATP control unit and performing a safety control of the train by a changeover upon occurrence of any problem to the first APT control unit, and a second ATO control unit connected in parallel to the first ATO control unit and controlling the operation of the train by a changeover upon occurrence of any problem to the first ATO control unit. The second ATP control unit, during operation, checks a normal system between the first and the second ATO control units and communicates either one of the two systems which is confirmed as a normal system. |
