PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems and methods suitable for delivering a therapeutic agent to a target site.SOLUTION: A system for delivering a therapeutic agent comprises: a container 30 for storing a therapeutic agent 38; and a pressure source 68 that is arranged in selective fluid communication with at least a portion of a reservoir of the container. A fluid from the pressure source is fed toward a second region of the container through a first region of the container. After that, the fluid moves from the second region of the container to the first region of the container and then its flow direction is at least partially changed so as to extrude the therapeutic agent toward a target site. The system according to another embodiment can feed the fluid from the pressure source toward the first region of the container through the second region of the container.
