A riding-type mower having pillars is provided, in which the pillars can be reduced in heights if needed so that interferences of the pillars with linkage mechanism is avoided. The riding-type mower includes right-and-left pillars (3) extending upwardly so as to be separated from each other in body lateral direction, and having base end parts (3b) fixed to the body frame and free end parts (3a), coupling parts (3A) formed in the free end parts (3a), an upper unit (30) disposed between mutually-opposing inner surfaces of the free end parts (3a), and swingably coupled to the coupling parts (3A) about lateral axes (P1) between an extended swung position and an retracted swung position, and linkage mechanism (4) coupled to the respective pillars (3) at locations below the coupling parts (3A), and holding a grass container (5). |
