The present invention relates to a velocity and braking distance measuring device of an escalator and moving walk capable of providing convenience of an inspection by being formed to measure a moving speed of a hand rail and a step at the same time. The present invention provides a velocity and braking distance measuring device of an escalator and moving walk comprising; a first rotary roller (24) which is in contact with a hand rail (10) of an escalator or a moving walk; a speed meter (21) for hand having a handle unit (25) which is gripped by hand while being combined with the first rotary roller (24); a second rotary roller (27) which is in contact with a step (11) of the escalator or moving walk by being separately placed from the speed meter (21) for hand; a speed meter (22) for step having a footboard unit (28) which is stepped and fixated by feet while being combined with the second rotary roller (27); and a calculation/display unit (23) which is formed to be in contact with the speed meter (21) for hand and the speed meter (22) for step at the same time. The calculation/display unit (23) automatically calculates and displays the moving speed and speed difference of the hand rail (10) and the step (11) measured by the speed meter (21) for hand and the speed meter (22) for step.
