NOVEL RUTHENIUM HETEROCYCLE COMPOUND AND PARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR TREATING OR PREVENTING CANCER CONTAINING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a novel ruthenium heterocyclic compound and a pharmaceutical composition for treating or preventing cancer diseases containing the same as an active component. The novel ruthenium heterocyclic compound suppresses cell proliferation of a lung carcinoma cell line (A549), a gastric carcinoma cell line (AGS), a colorectal carcinoma cell line (HCT-15), and a hepatoma cell line (SK-hep-1) at low micromolar concentrations, and inhibits carcinoma cancer cell activation by apoptosis which controls a cell growth cycle. Therefore, the compound exhibits excellent anticancer activity, and can be usefully used for treating or preventing cancer diseases.
