<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide prism that reduces stray light or ghost light, and to provide an image display device that has the light guide prism employed.SOLUTION: A light guide prism 5 guiding video light from a display element 31 to an eyeball of an observer, and displaying a virtual image of the display element 31 within a field of view of the observer comprises: at least four side surfaces 53a to 53d that are disposed so as to surround an optical path of the video light incident from one end part; a reflection surface 52 that reflects the video light optically guided by the at least four side surfaces 53a to 53d; and an emission surface 54 that emits the video light reflected upon the reflection surface 52 toward the eyeball of the observer. In the side surfaces 53c and 53d, prism grooves 65e and 65f are formed in a direction along an inclination of the reflection surface 52 in the vicinity of the reflection surface 52.</p> |
