<p>Disclosed are a path establishment method and apparatus, which belong to the field of computers. The method comprises: a controller in a virtual cluster receiving an access request sent by a first root node, the access request carrying an identifier of the first root node and an identifier of a leaf node, the controller acquiring an identifier of an edge node of the virtual cluster, and determining, according to the identifier of the first root node, the identifier of the leaf node, and the identifier of the edge node, whether one P2MP tree exists in the virtual cluster, and if yes, the controller adding a branch to a first node in the P2MP tree. The apparatus comprises: a receiving module, an acquisition module, a determination module, and an addition module. In the present invention, a controller adds a branch to a first node on a P2MP tree comprised in a virtual cluster to form a path from a second root node to an edge node, and a path establishment process is simple. Further, only one network bandwidth needs to be allocated to a path from a second root node to a first node in a P2MP tree in a virtual cluster, thereby saving network bandwidths.</p> |
