The present invention relates to an energy saving thermo-hygrostat having two heat exchangers and a control method thereof. An objective of the present invention is to prevent excessive dehumidification of ventilated air during sensible cooling and reduce a load on a heater during dehumidification heating to save energy. To achieve the objective, the energy-saving thermo-hygrostat according to the present invention comprises a compressor, a condenser, a liquid receiver, a first expansion member, a first heat exchanger sequentially arranged, a reheating heater disposed on a rear end of the first heat exchanger, and a temperature/humidity setting unit provided with a temperature sensor and a humidity sensor. The energy saving thermo-hygrostat having two heat exchangers further comprises: a second heat exchanger disposed between the first heat exchanger and the reheating heater to receive a portion of a refrigerant supplied to the first heat exchanger to cool the ventilated air by a heat exchange between the refrigerant and the ventilated air, or receive a portion of the refrigerant supplied from the compressor to the condenser to heat the ventilated air by heat exchange between the refrigerant and the ventilated air; a variable air blower to circulate the ventilated air into the thermo-hygrostat and control a flow rate of air circulating in the thermo-hygrostat according to a control signal from a control unit; and a bypass damper to control a flow passage of a portion of the ventilated air circulating in the thermo-hygrostat to enter directly into an indoor space bypassing the first and the second heat exchanger and the reheating heater depending on an operation mode of the variable air blower. |
