A carburetter comprises a main body part 1, Fig. 5, containing the float chamber, a cover member 5, and a separate carburation block 9 containing all the feed passages for forming the normal running mixture and seated in the body 1 on a horizontal seating 9b. In Fig. 5 the block 9 fits within the part 1 and is circulated therefrom by a gasket 10. The block 9 is secured to the part 5 by a hollow bolt 31a forming the seat for the float valve 13, the floats being pivoted on the block 9. The main jet 16, slow running jet 18, nozzle 19, air bleed orifices 22, 23 and mixing venturi 19 are all formed in the block 9. |
