<p>The method involves providing a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) preform made of copolymer containing terephthalic acid. The preform is blown in a cavity of a mold having temperature equal to or lower than 65 degree Celsius, to form a packaging e.g. PET bottle. The packaging is removed from the cavity, and is filled with a liquid product e.g. carbonated drink. The packaging is closed, sterilized and cooled. The packaging is heated for 1-5 seconds at the temperature of 600-1000 degree Celsius in a portion of the packaging to generate retraction and volume reduction of the packaging. An independent claim is also included for a packaging comprising an annular zone.</p> |
