An ink jet printer includes a liquid ejection head that forms an image on a roll paper which is transported from upstream to downstream of a transportation path, and a cutter unit that cuts the roll paper on which the image is formed by the liquid ejection head straight in the direction transverse to the transportation direction of the roll paper, wherein the cutter unit is configured to be capable of changing the cutting direction of the roll paper.

1. An image forming device comprising:
an image forming unit that forms an image on a sheet which is transported from upstream to downstream of a transportation path; a pivotal guide frame extending across the sheet in a direction transverse to the transportation direction and being pivotal upstream and downstream in the transportation path; a shaft connected to a first end of the pivotal guide frame, the shaft extending beyond a width of the sheet; a support plate connected to a second end of the pivotal guide frame and also connected to a motor that causes the pivotal guide frame to pivot, the support plate extending beyond a width of the sheet; and a cutter unit that moves along the pivotal guide frame and cuts the sheet on which the image is formed by the image forming unit straight in a direction transverse to a transportation direction of the sheet and is movable in the transverse direction across a width of the sheet, wherein the cutter unit is configured to be capable of changing the cutting direction of the sheet.
