Meniscus prosthesis

The invention is directed to a meniscus prosthesis comprising a prosthesis body, a fibrous structure that fully encloses the prosthesis body and an outer layer covering at least a part of the fibrous structure, wherein the prosthesis body, the fibrous structure and the outer layer are made of a biocompatible, non-resorbable material, and wherein the fibrous structure preferably is obtained by knitting, braiding or webbing at least one fiber.
