Optoelectronic sensor assembly and method for operating the sensor assembly

The method involves individually, temporarily and cyclically activating light transmitters (6.1-6.9) one after another for transmitting light impulses. Light receivers (8.1-8.9) are synchronously activated for receiving the light impulses. One of the light transmitters is not activated for one of the cycles when the associated light receiver is activated. A trigger signal, an alarm signal or a switch signal is output during activating the light transmitters and receivers. The light transmitters are controlled by a light transmitter controller (14). An independent claim is also included for an optoelectronic sensor arrangement including a light transmitter controller.
