[Also in Divisions B3 and F2] In a hinge connection between two or three members wherein the member 1 is journalled about a sleeve 3 which extends between and is attached at its ends to two spaced portions 5 of the other member or members, the length of the sleeve is greater than the width of the member 1 and the ends of a pin 7, which extends through the sleeve and the portions 5, are formed with longitudinal grooves 8 into which the material of end caps 9 is forced when the caps are pressed on to the pin to prevent withdrawal of the caps. The grooves decrease in depth and width towards the ends of the pin, and the internal cross-sectional area of the cap is less than the cross-sectional area of the pin.</p> |
