<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection method for light, by which intensity of light to be used for measurement of a transmission loss of light per unit length of a waveguide can be easily detected, and a measurement method for an optical transmission loss by which a transmission loss of light per unit length of a waveguide can be easily calculated based on the above intensity.SOLUTION: The detection method for light comprises measuring intensity of light to be used for measurement of a transmission loss of light in a waveguide. The detection method for light includes: a first step of preparing an optical waveguide 8A in which cores 84a to 84d having different lengths from one another are arranged in parallel to one another; and a second step of inputting light to each one end of the cores 84a to 84d, allowing the light to exit from each other end of the cores 84a to 84d, and receiving the output light to detect the intensity.</p> |
