PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glow plug which is suppressed in a bend of an axis when an external force in a radial direction is applied to a terminal member.SOLUTION: A glow plug 1 comprises a heater 2, a main metal fitting 4, an axial member 3 and a terminal member 5. The terminal member 5 has a surrounding part 51 which surrounds an axial rear end part 32 accommodated in an accommodation hole 52 from the outside of the radial direction, the surrounding part 51 has a rear surrounding part 56 located at a rear end side GK rather than a rear end 48 of the main metal fitting 4, and a front surrounding part 55 located in an axial hole 43 of the main metal fitting 4, the axial rear end part 32 includes a large-diameter part 36 with which a virtual external-contact cylinder having an outside diameter DA contacts entirely over an axial line direction HJ, and a small-diameter part 35 with which a virtual external-contact cylinder having an outside diameter DC smaller than the outside diameter DA contacts. A diameter difference between an inside diameter DB of the accommodation hole 52 and the outside diameter DA is smaller than a diameter difference between the inside diameter DB and the outside diameter DC, and the large-diameter part 36 is formed toward a tip side GS rather than the rear end 48 of the main metal fitting 4 from a gripped part 38 gripped by the rear surrounding part 56 out of the axial rear end part 32.
