<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which the number of gradations can be switched and an initial operation is not necessary even when a mode of lower number of gradations is selected.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a control circuit in which an ON/OFF timing of an analog switch 17 can be controlled, a plurality of patterns can be set with mask-patterns, and the number of mask-patterns to be set can be selected. The control circuit includes: a plurality of mask-pattern setting units for setting one of the mask patterns by one of switching control signals MI0-MI7; and a selection unit for selecting one mode from modes including a first mode in which the number of mask patterns is smaller and a second mode in which the number of mask patterns is larger. When the first mode is selected by the selection unit, into one mask-pattern setting unit that is not selected by the analog switch selection data, the same switching control signal as the switching control signal, which is supplied to another mask-pattern setting unit that is selected by the analog switch selection data, is supplied.</p> |
