<p>Provided is a pull-string type shielding device that is capable of reliably eliminating the ensnarement of foreign matter and attenuating the burden on a person. The present invention provides a cord equalizer that holds a plurality of pull cords hanging down from a support member installed on a building. The cord equalizer is configured so that the plurality of pull cords are held when a downward load is added to the cord equalizer with the plurality of pull cords in an approximately parallel state, and when a load is added to the pull cords in a direction that would spread the plurality of pull cords, the cord equalizer is caused to deform elastically or the cord equalizer is split, thereby releasing a loop structure formed by the plurality of pull cords and the cord equalizer, or increasing the length of the loop structure.</p> |
