A device for recovering bulk of nonwoven cloth by blowing hot air on and heating a nonwoven cloth conveyed in a conveying direction, wherein said device has a case member open on both conveying-direction ends, the opening on one conveying-direction end of the case member being provided with an inlet for use when the nonwoven cloth is conveyed, and the opening at the other conveying-direction end of the case member being provided with an outlet for use when the nonwoven cloth is conveyed. The portion on the inlet side of the case member is provided with an injection port via which the hot air is injected into the space inside the case member toward the portion on the outlet side. The sectional area of the space inside the case member in a first position on the downstream side in the conveying direction from the position at which the injection opening is provided is larger than the sectional area of the space inside the case member in a second position between the position at which the injection opening is provided, and the first position. The hot air injected via the injection port flows from the upstream side in the conveying direction to the downstream side in the conveying direction via the first position and the second position, while contacting one of the two surfaces of the nonwoven cloth in the space inside the case member. |
