The element i.e. test carrier (101), has a channel structure i.e. sample analysis channel (104), enclosed by a substrate (102) and a cover layer, where the structure includes an elongate mixing channel (107) and an output channel (111). The mixing channel has inlet and outlet openings (108, 110), where the mixing channel mixes reagent contained with liquid flowing through the inlet opening into the mixing channel. The outlet opening is in fluid communication with the output channel, and is located closer to middle of length of the mixing channel than the inlet opening. An independent claim is also included for a method for providing homogeneous thoroughly mixed liquid. |
