Device and method for seeking targets

The object i.e. drone (1) has a measurement unit for measuring intensity of signal emitted by a target. A determination unit determines the target based on geolocation of the object and the intensity of the signal measured for a set of measurement points. An autonomous guiding unit guides the object based on a flight plan. A trajectory planning unit modifies the plan based on the intensity of the signal emitted by the target and measured by the measurement unit, where modification of the flight plan corresponds to a spiral trajectory when the target is detected. An independent claim is also included for a method for searching avalanche victims utilizing a flying object.
