<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To much more improve quick responsiveness by shortening an imaging start enabled time after powering-on as further as possible. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus (1) includes: collapse canceling units (9, 18, 19, 20) for canceling the collapse of a collapsible lens barrel (2) in response to powering-on and performing processing for shifting to a collapse canceled state; an imaging condition detecting unit (24) for detecting lightness of a subject or a distance to the subject while the collapsible lens barrel is shifted into the collapse canceled state; and an imaging control unit (9) which causes an imaging unit (7) to perform an imaging operation while using lightness information of the subject or information on distance to the subject detected by the imaging condition detecting unit in response to the completion of shifting of the collapsible lens barrel to the collapse canceled state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
