1. A method of expressing a protein of interest from a Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cell, the method comprising:
(a) introducing a nucleic acid encoding a protein of interest into a mutant Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cell, wherein said mutant CHO cell comprises: (i) a loss of function mutation in the N-Acetyl-glucosaminyltransferase I (GnT 1) gene, and (ii) an exogenous nucleic acid sequence encoding functional GnT I; and (b) allowing the protein of interest to be expressed from the mutant CHO cell or a descendant thereof; and (c) purifying the protein. |
