The present invention relates to a mobile terminal and a method for controlling thereof and, more specifically, to a mobile terminal and a method for controlling thereof performing photographing through the mobile terminal. The method for controlling a mobile terminal relating to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: judging location of a first pointer contacting on a touch screen in a camera photographing mode; judging whether a first pointer is in a first state or a second state in case that the first pointer is located in a preset area on the touchscreen; ignoring touch input through the pointer, if the first pointer is judged to be in the first state; and performing a function corresponding to touch input through the pointer, if the first pointer is judged to be in the second state. |
