PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical device capable of accurately applying a desired quantity of light to an inner wall of a blood vessel in photodynamic therapy.SOLUTION: A medical device 1 includes: a long insertion member 2 that is inserted into a blood vessel; an expandable expansion member 12 that is provided coaxially with the insertion member on the distal end side of the insertion member; and a photoirradiation part 10 that is supported by the insertion member or the expansion member and that applies light toward the outer peripheral side of the insertion member. |
