PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type display device that enables prevention of deterioration of projection images by preventing curvature of field accompanied by increase in temperature.SOLUTION: A lens unit used in a projection type display device has: a first lens group L1; a first lens barrel 101 that holds the first lens group; a first cum follower 115A and a second cum follower 115B that are provided in the first lens barrel; and a focus ring 110 that has a first cum groove 110a in contact with the first cum follower and a second cum groove 110b in contact with the second cum follower. A length D1 in an optical direction between a center of a part of the first cum follower present within the first cum groove and a contact portion 117a with the first cum groove is different from a length D2 in the optical direction between a center of the second cum follower and a contact portion 117b with the second cum groove. |
