<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal-type continuously variable transmission which can alleviate stress generated in a groove when a seal ring is arranged between an internal peripheral face of a disc and an external peripheral face of a shaft which supports the internal peripheral face of the disc, and there exists the groove for fixing the seal ring to the shaft.SOLUTION: A seal ring 44 is arranged between an internal peripheral face of a hole which an input shaft 1 of an input-side disc 2 arranged with a hydraulic chamber 70 at a back face side penetrates, and an external peripheral face of the input shaft 1. A seal ring groove 45 which fixes the seal ring 44 to the external peripheral face of the input shaft 1 is formed over the whole periphery, and an additional groove 90 is formed over the whole periphery at the external peripheral face of the input shaft 1 and in the vicinity of the seal ring groove 45. Since the rigidity of the vicinity of the seal ring groove is lowered by the additional groove 90, when a large axial force and a bending load act on the input shaft 1, stress generated in the seal ring groove 45 can be alleviated.</p> |
