<p>The present invention relates to an oil mist separator (14) to separate a carrier gas (2), particularly to separate oil contained in an air exchange gas in a crankcase of an internal combustion engine (15). The oil mist separator (14) of the present invention comprises: at least one filter device (1) including at least one inlet (4) for introducing the carrier gas (2) and at least one outlet (5) for discharging filtered carrier gas (2) in order to separate fluid suspended particles from the carrier gas (2) particularly to separate oil from oil mist; at least one filter insertion body (6) which can move the carrier gas (2) in the housing (3) along the flow direction (7) is disposed and in order to increase the flow rate of the carrier gas (2) and/or in order to obtain an extended, preferably a maze type oil path (16) through at least one filter insertion body (6), at least one guiding device (9) to enable an oil path (16) to be deflected. According to the present invention, at least one filter device (1) can be disposed detachable to the oil mist separator (14), a seal, preferably a seal substantially extended in the direction of main border is provided between preferably a first fixation surface of the oil mist separator (14) and a second fixation surface of the filter device (1) fixed to the oil mist separator (14).</p> |
