摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulated substrate which is excellent in surface smoothness, has high-temperature heat resistance and enables compatibility of insulation suitable for applications in CIGS-system solar batteries and Na supply contributable to enhancement of the conversion efficiency and a CIGS solar battery using the insulated substrate.SOLUTION: In an insulated substrate for CIGS solar batteries, a glass layer of a thickness of 10-50 μm is formed on the surface of a steel sheet or steel foil by using a paste of an alkali metal-containing bismuth-based glass having a thermal expansion coefficient of 8-13x10/°C. An available alkali metal-containing bismuth-based glass has a glass transition point of 500°C or lower, a softening temperature of 550°C or higher and a crystallization temperature of 800°C or higher or a not crystallizing composition and comprises 30-90 mass% of BiO, 3-55 mass% of SiO+BOand a combined content of 0.5-20 mass% of one or more of LiO, NaO and KO.
