<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball return preventing device capable of preventing an illegal act using a game ball with a fine wire bonded thereto. <P>SOLUTION: The ball return preventing device is provided at the upper side end of an inner rail fixedly provided inside a shot ball passage of circular arc shape provided on the front face of a game board of a game machine, to prevent the game ball from returning to the shot ball passage from a playfield of the game machine. The ball return preventing device includes a ball stop piece. The ball stop piece is placed in a rising attitude onto the shot ball passage side in a normal state when mounted to the upper side end and tilts in a retreat direction from the shot ball passage when the game ball hits it from the shot ball passage side.
